I have created a picture for my homeseer and IHC setup in my house.

Here is the link: http://jakobsand.wordpress.com/my-setup/

This is not my HDMI & Audio setup, but purely what is related to light and sensor control.

Shop for homeautomation

Filed under: Lights and Dimmers — Tags: — jakobsand @ 22:33

The only real reason this is an smart shop is due to its collection of HomeSeer Hardware needed for some of the plugins to HomeSeer.

They do have som EU freq. Z-wave too.

Touch Screen

My homeautomation software has just released a TouchScreen interface.

It runs as a stand-alone windows and windows mobile interface and is via IP connected to the HomeSeer Server.

It took me 20 min. to creat a great interface for the otherwise rather complicated HomeSeer server.
Great way to get higher wife acceptance factor.

Homeseer is now connected to my IHC house control

Filed under: 1, Door Locks and Security, Lights and Dimmers — Tags: , , — jakobsand @ 21:25

After reinstalling my Server that runs Homeseer I have finally started to go away from the lab-testing of homeseer and moved into real operations.

I use  IHC (They call it Intelligent Home Control, nothing could be more wrong) from Lauritz Knudsen, a Schneider Electric owned Danish Subsidirary for all my switches, power outlets and lamps etc.

Everything is wired as a star to a central output and input system controlled by IHC proprirytary controller.

Via RS485 I am now able to control the IHC controller and get the status of all my 300+ I/O’s.

This is now connected to an IHC Homeseer plug-in and the fun can begin. Here is a small screendump if how it looks like.

Homeseer now has its own channel. A great way to learn more about real home automation.

Look at this 4×4 HDMI X

If found the answer for my hom4X4e control AV needs:

What I really like is the RS-232 control that enables me to control it directly with my Pronto AND Homeseer system.
Now we can connec the PS3, XBox, Cable, and MCE and watch it all independently. I need this in my setup asap.
